Excavation Day 19: 10.07.10

Thankfully today was another day of glorious sunshine. With only two days lft today many people have been employed in recording the excavated features and all the work done this year. The rest of us began the task of covering the site with plastic sheets and weighting them with bags of soil to protect it over the winter. Since no one is working in structure B this year we had it covered by lunch and spent the afternoon beginning to cover structures A and E. Though not the most interesting of tasks it is very important and with several renditions of ‘Eye of the Tiger’ when carrying a particularly heavy bag it was an enjoyable day for all!

About thecairns

I am studying for my MA(hons) at Glasgow Uni and am setting up this blog as part of my undergraduate dissertation. This part of my dissertation focuses on how the project reaches out to the local community and general public at large and so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
